Vitolas

A vitola and size will vary depending on the brand.  Understanding vitolas and how a cigar is measured is important. Cigars are measured by length using inches, and diameter by 64ths of an inch.  The diameter is referred to as the “ring gauge”. There are a  variety of vitolas available today.  The vitola, length and ring gauge are all personal preferences.  The vitola does not affect the strength, it is the wrapper that gives the cigar it’s strength. Smaller and thinner cigars tend to burn hotter and faster.

We offer the following vitolas:

Lismore is a Giant, also known as a double corona which measures 7 ½ x 60.  A double corona is a straight sided cigar with an open foot and a closed, rounded head.
